For Dr. Dakota, the best part of being a dentist is having the ability to help people in need, whether that involves relieving the pain from a toothache, fixing a broken tooth, or finally giving them the confidence to smile proudly. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Dakota knew that he wanted to have a career that involved working hands-on with patients, but he initially went to school for physical therapy. However, halfway through his schooling, he began to shadow some local dentists and gradually realized that oral healthcare was a better fit for his strengths while also still providing plenty of what he wanted. His career path changed as a result, and the rest is history!
Experience/Qualifications
After completing his undergraduate degree at Slippery Rock University, Dr. Dakota achieved his dental doctorate at LECOM School of Dental Medicine. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and plans to pursue continuing education in the future so as to further build upon his clinical skillset.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Dakota has a wonderful fiancée named Katie, who is his high school sweetheart. Together, they rescued a small Chihuahua named Penelope (or “Peanut”) who is the joy of their life. As for hobbies, he enjoys staying active and competitive with things like golfing, weight lifting, and plenty of recreational sports. Hanging out and traveling with Katie and Penny is also a top priority, of course. Finally, he’s a HUGE Pittsburgh sports fan!
